The Difference between HSA & FSA

HSA

NewCo will contribute the following if you enrolled in the
BCBS Saver 3000 (HSA) plan and will open an HSA on your behalf
through Flores: $1,000 to Individuals $1,500 to Families. HSA’s are individually owned medical savings accounts funded by pre tax payroll contributions and used to pay for eligible expenses. Below are some important things to know.

Available with the PPO 2000 & HMO plans, Tax-advantaged FSAs are a great way to save money. Use for eligible medical, dental and vision expenses.
If on the Saver 3000 (HSA) plan, a Limited Purpose FSA is available for dental and vision expenses only.

A dependent care FSA (DCA) is a flexible spending account that allows you to set aside up to $5,000/family pre-tax dollars for dependent care expenses. This includes daycares, babysitters and before/after school care.
